A one-off that will never be made, we took the tried-and-true process of blending and barrel-aging (used with drinks such as Brutus and Maximus) and used it to allow honey to shine. A mix of Oregon Meadowfoam & California Wildflower honey, complemented with the flavors of bourbon and oak.

Palate: Vanilla. Graham cracker. The barrel adds an almost charred/smokey note.
Finish: Sweet. Palate coating. The nutty character from the nose makes a reappearance.
Overall: The convergence of meadowfoam honey and bourbon barrel is something we've been wanting to do ever since the first batch of Quintus Elementum. Loads of vanilla from both the honey and the barrel with a nuance of caramel and burnt sugar. The nutty character on the finish leads the palate into thinking you just had a candy bar rather than a barrel aged mead.
